(5) The clerk of the Council shall cause to be

published in the Gazette, within seven days after the same

shall be notified to him, notice of every nomination made

in pursuance of the provisions of this section.

Any person taking objection to the validity of

nomination shall give to the clerk of the Council notice of

such objection in writing, signed by him, within fourteen

days after publication of the notice of nomination in the

Gazette.

Every notice of objection shall contain a concise

statement of all matters upon which the person taking

objection relies to sustain the same.

No objection shall be taken to the validity of any

nomination under this section after the expiration of fourteen

days from the publication of notice thereaf in the Gazette.

A person nominated shall not take his seat as a member

of the Council until the said period of fourteen days shall

have expired.

Every objection taken to the validity or a nomination

shall forthwith be referred by the clerk of the Council to

the Governor in Council and the decision of the Governor in

Council, after such an inquiry (if any) as he may think proper,

shall be final and conclusive as to the validity of the

nomination and for all other purposes.

Upon the receipt of a notice of objection the clerk af

the Council shall forthwith transmit a copy thereof to the

person nominated who may make in writing such representations

thereon to the Governor in Council as he may think fit.

The person nominated shall not take his seat as a member

of the Council until the decision of the Governor in Council

shall be made known.
